Is there some significance to why the song "One" is number 1? Of course, you do have the song "40" at number 7. I believe Rolling Stone Magazine's top song of all time was "Like a Rolling Stone." And the number two song was by the band the Rolling Stones.

I like a lot of the songs you picked. Must be pretty stiff competition, especially if "Where the Streets Have No Name" and "With or W/O You," didn't crack the top 30.

Here are my top 10 favorites. You can click on the song to see the lyrics. Appreciating the spiritual aspects of some of their songs, I have a couple lesser-known songs that were very personal to me.

1. Where the Streets Have No Name

2. Sunday, Bloody Sunday The violin part rocks on this song!

3. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. As a kid, I looked at this song as someone who had lost faith. Now I see it as a song about wanting a deeper faith, or maybe knowing there is more to this faith than what I’ve experienced.

4. Like A Song Was redone by a thrash/metal band called Believer in 1990. I like both versions the same. Talks about rebellion and wanting to stand for something. Then the end goes, "Angry words won't stop a fight, 2 wrongs won't make it right, a new heart is what I need, oh God make it bleed."

5. Grace I Actually picked this song because of a remake done by Nichole Nordeman for the U2 tribute album In The Name Of Love U2's version is OK, but I think her beautiful female voice fits with the subject matter (grace finding beauty in everything, grace makes beauty out of ugly things.)

6. Beautiful Day One of those songs to pump up in the car on the first day of great spring weather.

7. Vertigo Being in a place you wish you didn’t know, but, “your love is teaching me how to kneel.”

8. Yahweh What a great prayer!

9. With or Without You

10. Drowning Man Love the part that goes (boom boom is for the drum in the background), "Rise up rise up, with wings like eagles, you'll run (boom boom), you'll run (boom boom), and not grow weary.

Some honorable mentions would be:
1) Electrical Storm
2) The Sweetest Thing
3) New Years Day
4) One
